It is a specialized agent for the removal of lime deposits, created on the basis of organic acids. It has a high efficiency of dissolving limescale. Acids previously used in descaling agents have a pH value below 1, making them very aggressive to metals. CALNEX® C (616), despite its low pH value, is not aggressive to certain groups of metals such as stainless steel and aluminum. It has the ability to dissolve lime comparable to the properties of hydrochloric acid or amidosulfonic acid (at a slightly lower dissolution rate). When CALNEX® C (616) is used, neutralization occurs as a result of the reaction, so the addition of caustic solutions can be omitted.
