A paste for cleaning component and hybrid insulators. The formulation of the paste has been developed on the basis of many years of experience in cleaning work on electric power installations and equipment.Considering the insulating behavior of composite insulators, hydrophobic properties are the factor of greatest importance. The preparation does not destroy the hydrophobic layer of the insulator. The paste does not dissolve the so-called "Seals" that ensure tightness against environmental influences of the contact surface of the stem, ferrule and silicone rubber, resin cover. The sealing also includes the so-called "triple point," the place that concentrates the highest electrical voltage across the insulator.
