Corrosion inhibitor for steel and other ferrous alloys. TreatActive PHOES 9157 is a phosphodegradable, heavily layered formulation for degreasing and phosphating at the same time. It is used for iron, steel and aluminum surfaces in pre-painting processes. The resulting conversion layer consists of amorphous iron oxides and phosphates with coating weights generally ranging from between 0.4 and 0.8 g/m2. TreatActive PHOES 9157 consists of a mixture of alkaline phosphates, corrosion inhibitors and surfactants that allow it to be applied by spraying at recommended medium-high temperatures.
